CHATHAM BARS INN

Working at Stanton & Company using provided design flats I programmed the website for Chatham Bars Inn, the premier resort destination in Cape Cod Massachusetts. The emphasis of the site is to show the property through sets of responsive images with minimal text and an intuitive navigation system.

The site is fully adaptive for desktop, laptop and mobile devices. I also programmed an interactive administration tool to allow resort employees update access on the website.

KEMPER DIRECT INSURANCE

As a direct employee for over a decade, I was part of the develpment team for Kemper Direct Auto Insurance. Working primarily on back end application development my team provided transactional data for rating quotes and policies in 42 states across the USA.

Technologies used included Micrsoft SQL Server, XML, .NET and Pearl Scripting. Other web services were built using ASP.net and vartious FTP, EDI protocols.

ART AS AIR

Using the latest in ‘Mobile First’ technology I programmed the website for Art As Air. The project is a multi-media presentation of profiles in passionate creativity.

Using HTML5 and CSS3 standards the site features video interviews, slide shows and written words in a 100% responsive design.

THE BRAVEST

I was hired to design and program the website for theBravest.com. The site provides streaming audio feeds for the New York City Fire Department. It also has an e-commerce element connecting to the PayPal API as well as a JavaScript / PHP based home grown chat area. A content management system is in place for easy updates that can be done by the sites owner.

95 TRINITY PLACE

Working at Stanton & Company using provided design flats I programmed the website for 95 Trinity Place in lower Manhattan. The site features a one page smooth scrolling parallax flow. Highlighted building features float into place as the page scrolls down.

The site also features an organically written CSS JavaScript menu and a parallax design that works on mobile devices.

IMAGINEYE PHOTOGRAPHY

I was hired to design and program the website for Imagineye Photography. The site is a showcase where pictures come alive. A streamlined navigation system and a palette where the images are left to speak for themselves is the primary consideration for this adaptive web site.

The site utilizes organically written JavaScript routines that provide nice fade in - fade out effects and an easily updatable picture structure.

About - Martin Chytil

Clear, direct solutions to complex problems are the heart of a successful information technology department. Over the past 16 plus years I have designed, managed, programmed and tested innovative technology for Federal Express Corporation, The Address Management Department of the United States Postal Service, Stanton & Company and Kemper Direct Automobile Insurance Company.

My technical knowledge has grown with each position. Starting with the big data systems of the USPS on to modern responsive web design and programming at Kemper Direct, and Stanton & Company. I enjoy the challenges of emerging technology and strive to keep my skill set current.

This web page was designed and coded using the Foundation JavaScript framework. It is a bootstrap approach that allows for quick prototyping and easy adjustments for mobile devices. The tabs on the portfolio page show six examples of the many websites I have worked on. The data visualization page provides examples of placing raw data into robust charts and graphs.
